To make things easy for you, we’ve compiled the most frequently asked questions from our yogis.

How do I use Yogaia?

Already a member? Welcome to the family! As a member, you have unlimited access to all of our live and recorded classes when logged into the Yogaia website, Android or iOS app or Apple TV. Join a live class with your webcam on for a truly interactive experience, or keep it off but still practice with your teacher in real-time.  

All live classes are recorded so you can practice your favourite class again and again! Recorded classes are usually available for 60 days, but if you mark them as a favourite you can access them for longer.


What devices does Yogaia work with?

Computer: If viewing on a computer, we recommend using the latest Google Chrome browser. Live classes  and recordings work on most browsers. Make sure you got the latest version of your browser. You can Download Chrome here.

Android devices: Our latest Yogaia app is available on Google Play.

iPhone or iPad: You can download the latest Yogaia app from the App Store.

Apple TV (4th Gen): You can download the latest Yogaia app from the App Store.

You can use the same Yogaia account on all compatible devices.

How can I change my password?

After login, you can change your current password by going to Me -> Settings. Please note that you are not able to change your password through the Yogaia app. If you're logged in via Facebook, it is not possible to change your password in our service.

What if I cannot get a connection to the class?

Start by checking that you have the right browser. We recommend using the latest Google Chrome browser, which can be downloaded here. In case you are using the Yogaia app, being connected to wifi assures optimal performance.

If for any other reason you aren’t able to connect to a class you wish to participate in, please contact us. Our support will get in touch to help you.

Why does the video keep freezing?

Live class and recording videos may freeze if your network bandwidth is low. The minimum speed required is 1 Mbps with low latency. We recommend testing your local network speed with a tool like Speedtest.

If you are using the mobile app, make sure to have at least half of your device memory unused. You can check this by going to your device Settings -> Memory.

What can I do to improve live video and audio quality?

The quality of video and audio during live classes may also depend on your internet connection. If the connection is poor, it will have an impact on the video quality. Quite often the quality improves after the class has been on for a while.

Audio takes less bandwidth than video, so audio should always work. Ideally the minimum speed required is 1 Mbps with low latency. You can test your local network speed with a tool like Speedtest.

To ensure good streaming quality during live and recorded classes, and to control your mobile data usage we recommend to you use WiFi when possible.

Why can’t I use the app on my Android device?

The minimum requirements for the Android app are:

- Android version 4.0

- Camera on the device with Auto-Focus

If Google Play store states “Your device is not compatible”, then unfortunately the app does not work with your device. If your device is not compatible, you can view recordings from Yogaia via your mobile browser.

Why isn’t my Yogaia membership valid on the iOS app?

Your membership is valid, but it may be that it’s not set up on the app. If you use several Apple devices and your membership shows to be inactive although you have bought one, please try “Restore Purchases” within the app from ‘My Yogaia -> Settings -> Membership -> Restore Purchases’.

How do I use AirPlay with the iPhone/iPad app?

- Connect your iPhone/iPad device and your AirPlay device (Apple TV etc.) in the same Wi-Fi network.

- Start a live class or recording with the Yogaia app.

- On your iPhone/iPad, swipe up from the bottom of your screen to access Control Center.

- Tap Airplay.

- Tap the name of the device you want to stream content to. For live classes use the mirroring option.

How do I stream classes to my TV with Chromecast?

You can stream classes to your TV with a Chromecast device in two ways: from your Google Chrome browser or the Android app (requires Android 4.0.3. or later).

Google Chrome browser:

- Install the Google Cast extension from the Google Chrome Web Store.

- Start any recorded class from Yogaia.

- Click the Google Cast icon at the top right corner of the browser and select the Chromecast device to which you want to stream the class.

Yogaia app for Android:

- Install the Yogaia app for Android from Google Play store.

- Log in with your account.

- Start any recorded class from Yogaia.

- Tap on the Chromecast icon at the top right corner of the screen and select the Chromecast device to which you want to stream the class.

Is previous yoga experience required for Yogaia classes?

No previous experience is necessary. The range of Yogaia classes ensures that you will find a suitable class regardless of previous experience or style of yoga practiced. The description of the classes are defined in such a way that you will easily find suitable classes, whether it’s your first ever yoga class or if you are already an established yogi.

What styles of yoga does Yogaia offer?

Yogaia's philosophy is to offer different styles of yoga forms in an unprejudiced way irrespective of styles. We also encourage our customers to try new, different types of classes to find the best form of practice for them.

What kind of yoga class suits me?

One of the most amazing things about yoga is that there are so many different styles to choose from. The best way to find out which yoga style best suits you and your goals is to try different classes for yourself! Whether you are after an energising flow or a restorative stretch, there is always a class for you. Most importantly, when practicing yoga it is always important to listen to your body and take time to discover a practice that gradually helps you feel calmer and more present in your mind, and more flexible and strong in your body.

What are Yogaia teachers like?

Our professional teachers are well known by many yoga practitioners from other yoga schools. They bring their own expertise available to an even wider range of yoga enthusiasts through Yogaia.

I'm pregnant, can I start practicing yoga?

In regular classes we practice twists, deep forward bends and poses that target your core. These asanas/movements are not suitable for pregnant people. You can start practicing yoga in about three months after birth. In any case, you should always consult your doctor first.

Can children take part in the classes too?

Yes they can! Even if the child does not have the energy to be involved in the entire class at home, there is usually enough stimulation to be found so that the parent can complete the class.

What are the benefits of live and interactive classes?

We are all different. A two-way, real-time connection offers our teachers the possibility to instruct yoga classes by taking individual tendencies into account. This way the yoga class is safe and effective for each and every participant, regardless of your previous yoga experience or own physical characteristics.

Can other participants see me?

No, they can't. Only the teacher can see all class participants. In addition, you can choose to attend a class with your camera on or off. If you want to receive tips and personal guidance from the teacher, we recommend to turn your camera on.

How do I set up the camera and what angle should I use?

When joining a live class through a browser, you will be asked to either turn your camera on or off. If you choose to join with your camera off and wish to turn on your camera later during the class, you will still have the option to do so by clicking “Menu” from the bottom left of your screen and choosing “Enable my camera”. If you are attending a live class through the Yogaia app, you can turn your camera on or off at your own convenience by clicking the camera button on the top right of your screen.

The angle of the camera would depend on the type of device you are using, but you are able to adjust it easily by viewing your own picture when your camera is turned on. As long as you are able to see yourself well, so will the teacher.

Is my connection safe?

Your connection is perfectly safe when attending live classes. Our services are constantly being monitored and updated to assure you safe and secure access to our live classes.

Do I need to book a class in order to secure a place?

There is always enough space for everyone at our classes, so you don't need to book in advance. However, we recommend booking classes and turning on notifications to get you in a routine quickly. A booked class is already a class half done!

What do the class levels mean?

Level 1: For beginners and those in the initial stages of practice.

Level 2: For those with some prior experience, introducing more challenging asanas / movements such as inversions and backbends.

Level 3: For those with an established practice, a challenging class.

How should I set up my home yoga space for a live or recorded class?

Practicing yoga at home is almost the same as in a yoga studio — all you really need is a yoga mat and you’re ready to flow! It always helps to find a peaceful corner with enough space to practice, perhaps by lighting a few candles, clearing away any clutter and turning off your phone. Don’t worry too much if your dog runs past or your kids join in — simply breathe through it, keep focusing on your teacher’s voice and go with the flow.

How much does it cost?

You can view all our prices and purchase your membership here or directly through our Yogaia app for Android and iOS by choosing ‘Settings -> Membership’. Please login or signup to be able to view the different membership options.

What payment methods do you accept?

Our website offers the convenience of recurring payment using Visa, MasterCard and American Express debit and credit cards. After making your first purchase, your membership will renew after the billing period ends unless you cancel online, anytime. After cancellation, you can access the service until the end of the billing period. We will not refund the remaining time.


You can also purchase a membership plan on our Yogaia app with your Google Play or iTunes account.


You can pay your membership with sport benefit in Finland. The following sport benefit providers can be used to pay for your membership:

- Tyky-Online


You can also pay for recurring membership with sport benefit.



- Go to your sport benefit provider's marketplace and choose Yogaia Oy.

- Pay the amount for the membership that you want to purchase.

- E-mail a screen picture of the purchase to and inform us what e-mail address you used when signing in to

- During weekdays, we will activate your sport benefit membership within 24 hours.

Is my payment safe?

We’ve partnered with Stripe to help make purchasing experiences easier and safer for you. Stripe meets and exceeds the most stringent industry standards for security. You can learn more about the technical details of Stripe's secure infrastructure here. We also take your privacy very seriously. Yogaia does not store full credit card numbers, but instead, only the last four digits and expiration date.

How can I switch from current fixed term membership to a recurring one?

To ensure that there are no breaks in your membership, you can get a recurring membership while still having an active fixed term one. The first charge from your credit card will take place only after the current fixed term membership has ended. After that you will not need to worry about renewing your membership anymore!

How can I cancel my Yogaia membership?

If you purchased your membership via the Yogaia website, log in to the website go to 'Settings' – 'Membership' – 'Cancel membership'.


If you purchased your Yogaia membership via the app, using Google Play or iTunes, you have to manage deletion through the account concerned. For more detailed instructions, please refer to Apple or Google.

What does it mean to have my Yogaia account deleted?

Your account and all personal data will be permanently deleted from Yogaia's app and web service and can't be restored.


If you've purchased a membership, Yogaia Oy and our payments providers are required to maintain transaction-related data for legal reasons. In that case, not all data will be deleted.


If you want to delete your Yogaia account, please contact us or request your account to be deleted via the Yogaia app on your iPhone or iPad ('Settings' – 'Profile').


You're always welcome back. If you want to start using Yogaia again in the future, you'll need to create a new account and you won't be able to access your history or favourites.
